Prayer for Help: TBR: April 24: Numbers 1; Psalm 35
In Psalm 35, David is being attacked for who he is and what / who he represents. He is seeking to do the Lord’s will yet is being attacked on every side and unjustly. Just seeking to be faithful to the Lord brings him scorn, even from those who do not know Him. Christian, if you live with single minded devotion to the Lord, follow Him, and stand for His truth this will happen to you too! So how to deal with it? David seeks the Lord to fight for him vv. 1-3. In the end there is rejoicing in the Lord, who He is and what He has done vv. 9-10. As it is David’s desire so it should be ours, not to worry about those who would say or do evil against us but rather to take it to the Lord and to “tell of your righteousness and of your praise all the day long” (v. 28). May the Lord be with you today.
