Shadow of the Lord’s Wings TBR: April 10: Lev 14; Psalm 17

In Psalm 17 we read a personal lament from David. Though he was the King of Israel, he had many struggles. And though he ruled well for many years and with right worship toward the Lord, he had many enemies. Anyone who lives righteously and follows Christ will have enemies and be hated. The Lord Jesus affirms this (John 15:18-19). The question is what do we do about this? David seeks refuge in the Lord and so should we. He takes it to the Lord and seeks refuge “in the shadow of your wings” (v. 8). There is no need to fear anything or anyone for believers are hidden “in Christ” the sovereign Lord. Christian, today, find comfort, peace, joy that you can boldly go to the throne of grace and find help in time of need, even if it is safety from your enemies. The Lord knows who they are and what is going on. He will hide you under His wings. There’s no safer place to be. And no other place guarantees victory like that. May the Lord be with you today.
